Date : 13th October , 2007.
Team members Present: Joanne, Lynnette, Julie, Jane, Gemma, Scott and Milton.
We arrived at the location at around 11:30 and after the pub had been emptied of regular customers I went through the guidelines for the guests of the landlady Maxine. the rest of the group started setting up some of our equipment. We went on an initial walk round of the building to familiarise ourselves with it and to decide where the vigils were to be held.
The first vigil was held in the main bar , we started a circle and there were temperature fluctuations around the circle and a breeze travelling round like someone quickly walking round it,this was felt by many people in the circle and those observing out of it. One team member felt like a hat had been placed on her head and was being repeatedly touched and tapped. Another team member who was outside the circle reported seeing flashes of light from this room and saw shadows just out of the corner of his eye. This was reported by another team member later in the evening too. Unfortunately the circle had to be stopped not long after this as one of the guests needed to leave the area. After we had made sure that the person affected was going to be ok it was decided that due to the intensity of what had happened that the next vigil would take place in the cellar with most of the group ,with myself remaining up in the main bar with the guests. Whilst I was in the bar I had a distinct impression of a man walking round the bar area , with his hands in his pockets he was very thin and was wearing a scarf and what looked like a sort of flat cap.I did a quick drawing of the man and folded it up and placed it in my pocket.
Whilst in the cellar the group tried calling out, the name father John was picked up and a couple of team members reported seeing things in the cellar, one being a man in a fedora hat standing in the doorway. Nothing else was really felt in this area.It was decided to end the session in the cellar.
We had a short break and we decided to take the group through to the second bar area. I also asked two team members to remain in the main bar area and attempt a couple of experiments, one being automatic writing and the other psychic drawing. I was curious to see if any of them would pick up the same man I had. I did not tell anyone else in the team that I had already done a drawing.
We seated everyone at the one end of the bar and started calling out, we got the impression of a man standing at the end of the bar area watching us.Two team members went to that area to try and get the spirit to communicate.it was felt his name was George and that he had run the pub in the past.We had a couple of faint knocks and a couple of scrapes but it was soon felt that the energy had left the area. We then split the groups in to two and tried table tipping and glass divination, very little was picked up but one guest did feel over whelmed at this stage so we shut things down.
Whilst we had been in here a small group had gone back to the main bar and tried glass divination , some success was had but it was felt that the energies were not strong at the location.
We decided that it would be best to start packing away as the group felt that not much more would be achieved this evening, we then asked the two team members what they had picked up.One of them had done a drawing of a very thin man wearing a flat cap and another had written down a phrase which made little sense to her. When we asked the landlady if she knew what it meant she could confirm that she did and it was connected very strongly to her family. the names Luke and John were also picked up in here. The most striking thing out of the two experiments was the picture drawn , when i revealed my drawing there were very striking similarities as i hope you can see by the drawings.. Just to add as well that there had been a man named George at the premesis in 1884.
This location could have a lot more to offer and we hope to return again in the future. We would like to thank Maxine for giving us the opportunity to investigate .
